The Capybara Family Figures Out How To Cross The Street

Capybaras, the world’s largest rodents, are also among the most beautiful and peaceful creatures on the planet. So now there’s something else to add to that list of benefits.

They also look to be great pedestrians.

Earlier this month, passers-by in Cuiabá, Brazil, came across a unique and delightful scene. At a busy three-lane traffic crossing, a big troop of capybaras, both large and little, waited patiently.

But why were they there to begin with? You’ll have to wait and see what happens.

The clever capybaras, it turns out, were patiently waiting for a traffic break to allow the entire family to pass safely – they had evidently worked out the rules of the road.

You performed a fantastic job!
