A extremely rare white young deer was just found, and it looks like something out of a storybook.

Recently, 25-year-old photographer Adam Nordsveen was touring Norway when he came upon a rare white fawn. While he was traversing the highlands seeking locations to capture for his vacation album, a small snow-white surprise suddenly occurred.

It was absolutely white and almost undetectable against the pristine snow. The young deer came over and even agreed to pose for a few photos with the photographer.

Shortly after their unexpected encounter, the animal’s mother came from the jungle, but he continued to circle the photographer until returning to his mother. Adam thought it was a fairly wonderful event, like something from a Christmas fairy tale.

White reindeer are rare in that they lack dark pigment, which enables them to blend in with their snowy surroundings. Unlike albinos, they have black patterns on their antlers and around their eyes.

Adam has previously been across several different creatures. While visiting Norway, he came upon a lynx and a pack of wolves.

The fact that the animals are ideal subjects for photography suggests that he must have a nice demeanor.
