A kind person helped a newborn elephant at an animal sanctuary, and the two became close friends.

The unforeseen bonds that form between animals in the wild frequently astound us. Like us, these lovely, gentle creatures are capable of love and comfort.

Meet Pearl, an ostrich, and Choco, a baby elephant, who formed a unique friendship at the elephant sanctuary where they first met. When the volunteers saved the baby elephant, he had only been alive for one month.

He was granted a second chance at life. Two newborn ostrich chicks, one of which was called Pearl, were shortly found by the sanctuary personnel, who brought them to the facility where the baby elephant was being cared for.

It was impossible to foresee how well they would get along and even become close. The little creatures in this place had a new life. The new friendship grew here. Choco always had Pearl by his side, and she gave him the love and support the lovely little elephant required.

They both were able to move beyond thanks to their empathetic relationship. Choco and Pearl were the closest of friends, and they were always together. After spending her days there, the ostrich started to think she was a part of the elephant herd.
