Left behind was this lovely peach kitty. Some of the occupants of the surrounding homes where the cat lived brought him to the shelter. A volunteer named Dina decided to nurture the adorable cat.
His name was Roy. He immediately made it known who was in command of the home. Roy abhorred the idea of moving about on his paws. He insisted on getting lots of hugs and holding my arms. Instead of following, he had to take the initiative.
As Dina’s husband sat down at the laptop and started typing some comments to his owners, the cat quickly jumped onto the keyboard and started strolling over it.
Dina also looked after a sizable litter of gray kittens. He was an adult when he first gave the peach to his brothers.
After some time, our young hero was “adopted” by one family. He became good friends with a cat named Lulu and a dog named Titanic. Roy changed his name and started going by Rue. He became intensely curious. Without him present, nothing in the home gets done. He matures into a devoted feline who delights in being handled, adored, and cuddled.
