Four puppies, each one and a half months old, limped from the hilly region to the settlement. They observed an adult dog protecting something it had found to eat.
This community had few residents, most of whom were summer visitors.
They frequently departed without giving thought to what would happen to them in the future, which caused the number of stray animals to increase.
He has been abandoned before, so he is familiar with the experience.
The pups were so eager to feed that they disregarded the dog’s size and went right up to him. The puppies were drawn to the dog’s resting position near to a bowl of food because of its fragrance.
Naturally, he was taken aback at first, but the pups kept going.
One elderly woman who had just fed him spoke of how the youngsters had come to see her because of the dog.
She said that she was already feeling unwell and that she would have to leave the dog behind and go to the city to be with her daughter.
Since the winters are predicted to be long and harsh, it is a blessing that the volunteers have found them and are doing everything they can to accommodate the animals.
