A young kangaroo at an Israeli zoo gave birth to a baby less than three millimeters long. He jumped inside his mother’s purse like a kangaroo because it was cozy and warm. Normally, newborns are eight months old, but this baby wasn’t as fortunate since his parents didn’t feed him and instead let him out of the pouch.
The infant would not have survived if this had happened in the wild, but he had a chance in the zoo.
Valia, a zoo staffer, looked after the infant. She has a long history of being an animal lover and has worked with many different species.
She has lately raised a giraffe, a bear cub, a deer, and monkeys. It was most challenging in the kangaroo situation. She carried him in a special pocket, gave him an oil massage, and then immediately gave him milk.
Even when he became older, the animal stayed with Valia and even slept off in her arms.
