One afternoon, a woman had a routine appointment with her gynecologist. Wanting to feel especially fresh and confident, she decided to do a quick touch-up before leaving the house. Like many people, she reached into the bathroom cabinet for what she believed was her feminine deodorant spray and gave herself a light spritz, thinking it couldn’t hurt to be extra prepared.
Everything seemed completely normal on the way to the clinic.
When she arrived, she checked in, changed into the gown, and tried to relax while waiting for the exam. The nurse came in, got everything set up, and a moment later the doctor began the routine pelvic exam.
He looked down… paused for a second… and then broke into an amused smile.
“Well,” he said lightly, “aren’t we feeling a bit glamorous today?”
Her heart practically stopped.
In that instant, the awful realization hit her. In her rush to leave the house, she hadn’t grabbed her feminine spray at all. What she had actually used—without even checking the label—was her daughter’s glitter hairspray.
So there she was, lying under the bright medical lights, unknowingly sparkling like a disco ball… and her doctor had absolutely noticed.
