Yeva’s cat, Missky, had a significant role in her life, so her absence surprised her greatly. When Yeva stepped out of the car in 2009 to go grocery shopping, she disappeared.
On the other hand, Missky appeared bored and got out of the car onto the street. She was distraught over not being able to find her pet and was unable to picture life without her.
Before starting her search, she waited for the cat to come back on its own, but she found nothing. Though probably not right away, she did discover her—up to ten years later. Only 11 kilometers separated her from her home.
After ten years, Missky was still there, and the rescue agency called the woman to let her know. She was found by Birmingham resident Anne Hawks. At the vet, they found an implanted chip in her, and they immediately informed her owner.
Yeva was simply relieved to see her cat once more because she had not forgotten about her in a very long time. The cat is also in her golden years, having reached the respectable age of 16 years.
