It is always encouraging to see animals at shelters find new homes. Mery’s response upon meeting her new father touches everyone’s hearts. The adorable creature can’t stop snuggling with the man who decided to adopt her forever!
Prior to meeting Mark, her new owner, Mery’s life had only been difficult. After that, everything changed. Bubba, a rescue dog owned by Mark McCraw and his wife Mary, passed away a few months ago.
They weren’t prepared to love a dog as much as they loved Bubba since they were going through a difficult period, but then Mery showed up!
The Dodo overheard Mark say, “She won my heart.” We met Mery a few months after losing our last dog, thus in my perspective it was just a chance meeting.
At the time, I didn’t believe I was ready for a new dog, but now here we are.
After being rescued from previous watch owners, the rescue dog initially meets her new father.
Mery rushes over to him, leaps into his arms, and offers her several hugs, as if they had been reunited. Nice, huh?
