A 102-year-old woman adopts a 19-year-old cat that was abandoned by its former owners at a shelter.

You’ll be moved by this tale recounted by animal rights advocates.

Guvo was 19 years old when he was placed in a South Carolina animal shelter for a formal reason that his owners referred to as “unforeseen circumstances,” but in actuality, it was because the pet was aging and no longer as entertaining and lively as he once was.

Kitty was evaluated by the shelter’s veterinarian, who found that she was in “excellent health”—quite a feat for a cat that will soon turn 19 years old. Guvo turned out to be a genuine charmer. He was given wonderful health by nature, and he also found his owner.

The director of the shelter unexpectedly received a call from individuals searching for a house cat to be the best buddy for their old grandma not long after the cat had already arrived. They especially asked if there was an older cat that was available for adoption that matched the senior age of their mother.

The 102-year-old grandmother of the family, Annie, and the cat fell in love right away and have been together ever since.

Guvo is doing well in his new house.
